With customer demand for rooftop solar photovoltaic systems growing day by day, utilities are faced with the challenge of addressing customer preferences while continuing to deliver safe, reliable electricity at a low cost for all customers. Some utilities across the country have begun to develop utility-owned distributed solar programs in response to this challenge.
