Going Solar in America: Demonstrating Rooftop Solar PV’s “Dollars & Cents” Value in America’s 50 Largest Cities

ICLEI Local Governments for Sustainability USA and the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center present a free webinar through the U.S. Department of Energy’s SunShot Solar Outreach Partnership.

The hour-long session features NC Clean Energy Technology Center’s recently released Going Solar in America reports. Lead author Jim Kennerly from the center will discusses key findings of their reports, including results showing that financed solar is already at grid parity in 42 out of the largest 50 U.S. cities and that in 46 of the 50 cities, an investment in solar can perform better than the S & P 500. Jim also discusses what factors led some cities to rank higher than others and why financing is an important piece of the puzzle.
