 UPDATE: The Workshop will be held in Meeting Room 1 & 2. Please park at the former Bangor Daily News building or Hollywood Casino and plan to enter through Buck Street entrance of the Cross Center. 

Learn how communities in the Bangor, ME region can increase their solar development at this free workshop hosted by the City of Bangor, City of Brewer, the Greater Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce and the University of Maine Margaret Chase Smith Policy Center. Join national experts and local experts Bill Behrens, Revision Energy, and Dr. Sharon Klein, University of Maine, to learn actionable information on creating a local-level solar program, with a focus on:

  • The benefits and barriers of solar development in Bangor
  • Planning for solar: getting your community solar ready
  • Understanding the regulatory landscape of solar
  • Innovative financing options for solar projects
