This half-day interactive workshop will explore important considerations for installing solar on brownfields, from developing community goals and policies for solar redevelopment to identifying project partners and potential sources of gap financing. The workshop will explore opportunities for local governments and developers to work collaboratively to overcome obstacles at each stage of the redevelopment process. Speakers will present case studies highlighting examples of successful public-private partnerships and engage participants in problem-solving exercises to work through strategies for promoting solar projects on brownfields, landfills, and other previously developed and potentially contaminated sites. Speakers: David Morley, APA; Jayson Uppal, Meister Consultants Group; Riana Ackley, ICLEI.
